Cabot courses are designed for walking, inspired by our deep love of nature and the land itself. We are committed to providing a golf experience that allows guests to fully connect with the natural beauty of our surroundings. Our walking-only policy supports a more immersive, traditional style of play — one that honours the tradition of the game and encourages a deeper appreciation of the course’s landscape.

We have a limited number of medical golf buggies for guests who provide a doctor’s note advising against walking the full length of the courses. Medical golf buggies are available during walking season only and can be rented for £50 per round.

Yes! We have single bag caddies or forecaddies.

The fees are as follows:

Single Bag Caddie – £70 plus gratuity
2 Player Forecaddie – £80 plus gratuity
3 Player Forecaddie – £90 plus gratuity
4 Player Forecaddie – £100 plus gratuity

Caddies must be requested in advance through our Reservations team and are subject to availability. Our Caddie fee is £70 plus discretionary gratuity which must be paid in full directly to the caddie on the day of your round. A caddie cancellation fee of £40 would be due if not cancelled in advance.

Bag Carrier Caddie upgrades must be requested at least 48 hours before your tee time by emailing the Reservations team.

Yes! We have complimentary push/pull trolleys, or electric trolleys for a fee of £25 per round.

Our golf season runs from March 27th to November 14th, 2026.

Cabot Highlands offers premium TaylorMade and Callaway men’s and women’s rental club sets to ensure you have the best equipment for your round.

Our rental sets include the latest drivers, metalwoods, hybrids, irons, wedges, and putters, with options of stiff or regular shafts, providing top-tier performance for golfers of all skill levels.

The cost is £60 per round and each set includes a sleeve of 3 golf balls.

Availability: We recommend reserving your rental clubs in advance to guarantee availability.

At Cabot, we encourage players of all skill levels to enjoy our courses. With five distinct tee boxes, guests can choose their preferred level of difficulty.

Our goal is to create an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone.

For non-golfers, we warmly welcome you to walk alongside your group and take in the breathtaking beauty of Castle Stuart Golf Links and Old Petty, renowned for their stunning landscapes.

The course only shuts down in the event of lightning. While we won’t refund a round due to rainy weather as playing with the elements is part of the links golf experience, we will try our best to accommodate by rearranging tee times in the event of lightning.

We partner with Ship Sticks, the most convenient and affordable door-to-door shipping service for your golf clubs and luggage.

Ship Sticks provides a hassle-free travel experience backed by an on-time guarantee. To get started, visit Shipsticks and tell us where you would like your clubs picked up.

Once you’ve placed your order you will receive detailed instructions on how to package up your clubs for shipping, including a link to track your clubs in real-time.

Ship Sticks recommends choosing a delivery date 1-3 business days prior to your arrival.

If you expect to arrive before our check-in time and would like immediate access to your room, we recommend booking the room for the night prior. Similarly, for late departures, reserving an additional night will guarantee access to your guest room until you depart.

If you choose not to reserve, we will be glad to store your bags and give you access to our shower and changing rooms for you to freshen up.

Yes, enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast included with your stay and conveniently delivered right to your cottage.

We offer a housekeeping service for longer than three-day stays; linen changes will be completed on day three of your stay, unless otherwise requested.

Golf and accommodation bookings are non-refundable. We regret that we cannot offer refunds due to delayed or cancelled flights/travel plans, personal injuries, illness, epidemic or pandemic. We strongly recommend that all guests have valid travel insurance.

Cancellations for rounds of golf received more than 8 weeks prior to the date of play will be refunded in full.

Between 4-8 weeks there will be a 50% cancellation charge, or the booking can be moved to a new date for an administration fee of £50. If the corresponding green fee is higher to the one already paid the difference will be chargeable.

Those received less than 4 weeks before the date of play are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be kept as a future credit.

All charges are in GBP and include VAT at 20% that is applied to all services and products.

We charge all services in GBP.

For cash to pay your Caddie, we recommend you stop at a local bank or ATM as we do not have a cash machine on our premises.

We will do everything in our power to make your trip as seamless as possible, so please contact us if you require any additional travel advice or ground transportation from the Inverness airport.

Private Flights:

Inverness Airport is serviced by four companies offering private charters.

Helicopter Transfers:

For a quicker and thrilling method of transportation, Helicopter Transfers are available from Edinburgh, Aberdeen or Glasgow Airports. We work closely with a local Aviation Company and are more than happy to provide contact details to you should this be of interest.

Please note that these transfers are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.

Private Vehicle Transfer:

We can offer a pick-up and drop-off service during working hours for arrivals into and departures from Inverness Airport. Please make prior arrangements with the Reservations team at +44 (0)1463 796111 or by email.

Taxi Services:

Taxis are available from Inverness Airport or the city centre. The front of house team can also arrange for taxis as and when required.

Cabot Highlands is accessible from these major airports:

Edinburgh Airport – 3.5-hour drive
Glasgow Airport – 4-hour drive

Cabot offers a private transportation service from and to Inverness Airport. This is a limited service and we highly recommend requesting at time of booking.

Parking at Cabot Highlands is complimentary for registered guests and golfers. We offer plenty of parking spaces near the clubhouse. There is also a drop-off area right outside the front door to the clubhouse.

Please note that we do not offer valet service at this time.

Avis, Enterprise, Europcar and Hertz have outlets in the terminal at Inverness Airport. Other providers are available a short distance from the airport terminal.

At Cabot Highlands, guests are welcome to dine in golf casual attire.

The Clubhouse restaurant is open for breakfast from 7am to 12pm. Lunches and dinners are available from 12pm to 8pm.

The Halfway Hut on Castle Stuart Golf Links has hot and cold beverages, light snacks as well as soup, pies and hot dogs.

A food cart will serve light snacks and drinks on Old Petty.

If you have a tee time, no reservations are required. We look forward to welcoming you.

Inverness is one of the driest areas of Scotland with just under 900 mm of rain average per year.

One of our favourite times of year is mid- May to mid-June. July and August in Inverness averages a temperature of 17°C and the coldest is January at 4°C.

In early summer, the sun is often still shining at 10pm and it hardly gets dark at all.

Unfortunately pets are not allowed on the golf courses or in the accommodations.
